Because theTMM4 sensor is extremely robust, the technology is also suitable for application in MTB's. During about a year IDbike has tested several mountainbikes, in extreme conditions and with heavy loads. The TMM4 sensor survived all punishment without any problem.

A Mountainbike wit a Rohloff hub:
Because abike with a Rohloff hub has a bolded drop out already, the conversion to the TMM system is very easy: The original drop out just has to be exchanged with a TMM dropout. Most of the bikes however have a welded dropout, in this case the conversion is more difficult.
The MTB below has a welded dropout, the original drop out is replaced by the TMM dropout, which is welded to the frame:
